Waterfront parks and recreation at your doorstep at Pointe-Nord, Nuns' Island

Finding your own quiet spot along the shore to read or practice yoga, walking out to the end of the dock and pushing off in a kayak, or hitting the cross-country trails along the river during the winter can be your reality at Pointe-Nord.

Pointe-Nord will provide you with easy access to the elements that nourish you and will ground you with a strong sense of community. You can look forward to meeting up with neighbours, friends and family for some outdoor fun.

The Borough of Verdun has extended the Nuns' Island riverfront path to Pointe Nord, providing magnificent access to the water. The Borough will transform the trail into more than just a path, offering visitors cultural experiences and the chance to learn about the history of Nuns' Island.

Beginning at the entrance to Pointe-Nord, the trail will have points of interest where pedestrians and cyclists can pause to take in the impressive views. The plan includes 3 riverfront parks, an amphitheatre, a panoramic belvedere, and play areas near the water, so you have plenty of options for things to do.

Pointe-Nord's parks and paths will be connected to the rest of Nuns' Island's riverside linear park. The parks and paths will complete the circuit that runs around the whole island. The path joins with the Lachine Canal bike paths and the Route verte, which extends across all of Quebec.
